Hello!

Welcome to the Minnesota Veterinary Business Management Association.  We are the local chapter of the National VBMA.  The VBMA began as a student movement at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 2004.  Since that time, it has spread quickly across the nation to become one of the largest student organizations in the country. There are now 36 VBMA chapters at various Veterinary schools both Nationwide and International.

Our Chapter here at Minnesota began in 2007.  Today, we are the largest voluntary enrollment student organization on campus here at the UMN CVM.  As a student centered organization, we strive to provide the utmost in veterinary business education for our members through our Business Certificate Program. Our program offers a certification to students completing 16 education hours in four different categories pertaining to career and professional development, business finance, ownership, and leadership. The VBMA now also provides a Business Certificate with Honors option with completion of 32 education hours in addition to submission of their individualized Honors Portfolio for those willing to go above and beyond and set them apart as future veterinarians.

Each year, the Executive Board works diligently to shape and refine our curriculum to give new and exciting opportunities for members, while maintaining a tight-knit connection with the veterinary community.  Through sponsorships with local and national partners we give students an education that sets them up for success in their careers to come.  If you have any questions about our mission, and how you can get involved, get in touch with one of our Executive Board members through our email at mnvbma@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

The Minnesota VBMA Executive Board
